Although depressed acne scars are often the cause of extreme self-consciousness about how one looks, there are a variety of state-of-the-art treatments available that can rejuvenate the skin and make the scars less visible. Dr. Newman can reduce the appearance of depressed acne scars with laser skin resurfacing, which can work to remove layers of damaged skin and replace them with healthy skin cells. Other treatments such as microdermabrasion may also be effective options for acne scar reduction.
