What is a mid-facelift?

The mid-facelift is an alternative to a full facelift that may be preferable for younger or middle-aged facial plastic surgery patients. Offered at our Darien, Connecticut practice, which also serves New York-area patients, a mid-facelift repositions the fat and tissue of the cheeks, where patients often have excess skin, and thus softens the jowls. Doing so creates more attractive contours, forming a clean jaw line. When performed in conjunction with liposuction of the neck, a mid-facelift can improve the contour of the neck. As it is less involved and requires a shorter recovery time than a traditional facelift, a mid-facelift may provide the results many younger patients are looking for.

Can it be combined with other procedures?

As noted above, the mid-facelift is often performed in conjunction with liposuction of the neck as an alternative to the full facelift procedure. The mini facelift procedure can also be combined with other facial plastic surgery procedures for a full facial rejuvenation. Patients at our New York-and Connecticut-area practice can complement their mid-facelift procedure with nose surgery, a brow lift, eyelid surgery, laser skin resurfacing, and microdermabrasion.
